March Madness Championship game 2019 Live stream How To Watch 2019 NCAA Basketball Tournament National Championship Game Live Stream Online
The NCAA Division 1 Men’s Tournament is perhaps the most exciting sporting event that happens every year. There are so many endless reasons why it is aptly called the March Madness. The championship battle that involves 68 teams in a single elimination contest is known for the last minute wins, unexpected finalists and shocking upsets. The championship is unpredictable yet fun to watch.
The Final Four begins on Saturday with a showdown between No. 1 Virginia and No. 5 Auburn with a spot in the 2019 NCAA Tournament’s national championship game on the line. Both the Cavaliers and Tigers have made it through their respective regions for the first time since March Madness switched to the current 64-team bracket format in 1985, setting up an exciting clash in which history will be made, regardless of which side wins. Neither program has ever directly competed for a national title, but the one that cuts down the nets in Minneapolis will get a chance to do exactly that against the winner of Michigan State vs. Texas Tech.
Oddsmakers believe that Virginia should win this one handily, opening the squad as a 5.5-point favorite. The line hasn’t moved despite Auburn drawing most wagers (66% of bets, 65% of money) leading up to this Final Four battle. The Tigers have been outperforming expectations for most of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, covering in three straight games beginning in the second round. The program became the first since the championship winning 1997 Arizona Wildcats to best blue bloods Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky during a single March Madness run. The Cavaliers shouldn’t underestimate their upcoming foe, especially since they have struggled to truly live up to their billing as a No. 1 seed this year. While they weren’t eliminated early—unlike last year’s first round exit to No. 16 UMBC—the ‘Hoos have only looked dominant once, in the Round of 32 against Oklahoma, in their four Big Dance matchups. They needed a miraculous, last-second shot to force overtime against Purdue in the Elite Eight and went right down to the wire in the Sweet 16 against Oregon, the lowest seeded team left in the field at that time.
Will Auburn keep this Cinderella run going to the national championship, or will Virginia come up with the “W” in its first Final Four appearance in 35 years.
